The Sheraton San Diego has been transformed from a convention-style hotel into a vibrant harbor resort, infused with casual coastal elegance that reflects its waterfront setting. Drawing inspiration from the bay and marina, the design reimagines public areas, guestrooms, dining venues, meeting spaces, and outdoor lounges.
Guests arrive at a refreshed porte-cochère with teak furnishings and marine-toned upholstery, setting the tone for relaxed sophistication. Inside, the expansive lobby embraces a coastal living room concept, where a NanaWall opens to sweeping harbor views. Residential furnishings, organic textures, and layered lighting create a welcoming atmosphere, while custom seating niches, communal tables, and lounge vignettes support both reflection and social connection. A sculptural tree anchors the “town square,” offering a playful moment for guests in transit.
New F&B destinations showcase distinct personalities: Rumorosa, a Mexican-inspired restaurant with vibrant tiles and finishes; Brewery X, a lively craft brewpub energized by murals and neon; and Strada, an Italian market café with rustic, seaside charm. Meeting and event spaces adopt a refined coastal palette, while guestrooms feature serene finishes, natural materials, and spa-like bathrooms. Outdoors, teak cabanas, firepits, and a hand-painted cabana bar mural complete the resort’s seamless indoor-outdoor narrative—establishing a new standard for casual luxury by the water.
