“Good design has the ability to completely transform a space on a spiritual level by enhancing visual identity, providing effortless function, and stimulating all senses to create an alluring refuge for the eyes, mind, and soul.”

Katherine Hunsaker is an Interior Designer at the Forrest Perkins Dallas office. She supports the design team during all phases of the design process to ensure a smooth, efficient, and successful outcome for each client. From brainstorming concept design, piecing together imagery for FF&E presentations, pulling furniture options for schematic design, rendering CAD drawings, and more, Katherine uses her exceptional creative mind and her honed technical skills to provide the highest level of design for each project. Before working at Forrest Perkins, Katherine graduated from Parsons The New School with a graduate degree in Interior Design. She learned and became proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, Vray, SketchUp, Photoshop, Indesign, Affinity, and Illustrator, with beginner skills in Revit. During her time at Parsons, Katherine worked in the luxury residential sector of design for high-end clients, where she oversaw home installations and worked on the Dallas Kips Bay Showhouse in 2020.

Before going into Interior Design, Katherine worked as a brand strategist at an advertising agency in New York City and later as a publicity coordinator for a film distribution studio in Los Angeles. Her experience in multiple industries has earned her a unique perspective on the intersection of design and experience, taking skills learned from each industry and applying them in the design world. In addition, Katherine enjoys design on a spiritual level as a practice that transforms outdated and unattractive spaces into entirely new environments with enhanced visual identities and functions.
