Kathy combines her right brain creative skills with her left brain business acumen to collaborate on projects both as a designer and a project manager. She brings an innate curiosity to the initial stages of the design process to create a dynamic concept for both hospitality and multi-family residential projects. She loves to take a story and weave it through each project in spatial relationships, furniture, lighting, materials, and artwork, bringing to life an immersive experience for the end-user. Kathy’s design judgment is guided by her business background and her strong organizational skills, which keep projects on track through each phase of the design process.
Kathy joined ForrestPerkins full time after completing internships with both ForrestPerkins and Perkins Eastman during her graduate studies. Her talents have contributed to successful hospitality and multi-family residential design projects across the United States. She is currently focusing on multiple projects in the Middle East.
An NCIDQ-certified designer and LEED Green Associate, Kathy graduated from Corcoran College of Art + Design with a Master of Arts degree in Interior Design. Prior to discovering her love of design, she worked as a certified public accountant for the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C. and at Ernst & Young LLP in Chicago, Illinois. Kathy holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University.
